Nowadays, a growing number of people are entering the market of Outdoors, the so-called Sunrise Industry. The sales channels of its products tend to be more and more varied. Accordingly, large-scale Outdoor chain stores start to appear. Brand shops and counter sales in big department stores are gradually becoming popular. Specialized PE retail traders also take part in the race… Confronted with the increasingly severe competition, medium-small scale outdoor stores are now situated on the edge of survival and development.

How to help medium-small scale outdoor stores to survive and develop in such fierce competition? This has long been the major concern of many outdoor store operators. As a trade association of outdoors retailing, CORA has always been devoting itself to helping and serving the retail stores of outdoor products. At ISPO Beijing, CHINA to be hold in March this year, a model store of outdoors will make its appearance, which has been a brand-new action co-taken by CORA Trade Association, ISPO CHINA organizer and some brand distributors for the sake of medium-small scale outdoor stores’ development.

Clothes make the man. The same is with stores. An impressive appearance together with reasonable indoor arrangements helps fully attract the customers and thus increase the sales volume of products. On one hand, the model store is making efforts to enhance its “outdoor” features from the outside. --- Practical and bright design reinforces a style of simplicity and smartness. On the other hand, the layout of indoor items is designed to be eye-catching, imposing a strong “visual impact” over the customers. Then, the overall arrangements of products turn out to be the key factor of a store image. So is with the sales. In this aspect, the model store has made all designs with great care, which try to pursue the harmony of different categories of products and an effect of multi-level and beauty etc. Only with the cultivation of both inside and outside, an outdoor store will have a stronger vitality and get well adapted to the market.

At the same time, an Outdoors Retailing Development Seminar will be held during the exhibition by CORA Trade Association with the help of CORA model shop. Such concerns as commodity purchase and retail channels etc will be discussed and views will be exchanged among the outdoors retailers.

We believe that the mode of CORA model store will help outdoor stores learn how to “invest the least and profit the most”, enabling them to gain a healthy, fast and sustainable development in the increasingly competitive environment.
