A seminar on the development of the outdoor industry was held on March 15th at ISPO China 07 Winter show. It was hosted by CORA, and supported by outside.
Li Liangshi, the General Manager of outside acted as the host of the seminar, where a wide range of topics were discussed while focusing on the challenges and opportunities for the small and medium sized outdoor shops. CORA was honored to have the presence of the owners of Quest Sports, XI’AN Green Ants and Shengyang Shanlv respectively, and the managing editor of outside sports manager.
2006 witnessed the rapid development of China 's outdoor industry with the expansion of Décathlon in China and the fast growing of many other outdoor brands. Given such a fierce competition, the survival of the small and medium sized outdoor shops are the main concern of the seminar.
A thorough disscussion was made on such topics as the core competitive strength of a store, channel conflics, clients cultivating, training for the owner of the store and the pressure from the online selling, etc. More importantly, how to cope with those challenges was also widely discussed on the meeting.
